Munford left on a business visit to Wellington on Tuesday morning and expects • to be away two or three days. Football Club's Tribute Speaking at a recent meeting of the Shannon Football Club, the president (Mr. A. Gillespie) made reference to the exceilent work which the late Mr. Jarnes Curran had done for football, both in ihis town and tbroughout the district. The Shannon Club had lost a staunch supporter in the passing of Cr. Curran, concluded Mr. Gillespie. A motion of sympathy was carried in silence and the secretary was directed to extend a message of sympathy to Mrs. Curran and family. •
