The generstl public was notifled as far as possible, and the school children were asked to attend at the Railway end of the town. ' Although the arrangements were very hurriedly made there was a large crowd present to see the distinguished visitor pass through, and cheers were accorded him. The fire siren was sounded half an hour before Viscount Montgomery 's arrival.
