QUAKE CAUSES DAMAGE IN SOUTH AMERICA
BOGOTA (Columbia), July 15. Three sharp earthquake shocks shook Pasto, near the Ecuafior oorder today, destroying many ouildings and causing many of the ity's 35,000 inhabitants to flee in panio. i Latest reports show that the casualties and damage were much lighter than was first feared. There were no deaths and only seven injured. Damage is estimated at approximately 500,000 dollars The Cathedral of San Felipe was partially wrecked, injuring some worshippers who had rushed into the building to pray for protection.
