NATIONAL PARTY BALL
LARGE ATTENDANCE EXPECTED One of the social events of the season, the Nauonal Parti?'s ball, takes place on Friday night in the Regent Ballroom, Levin. Elaborate' ^rrangements for the function have been made by Ihe committee and there will undoubtedly be a large attendance from Levin and various parts of the district. A special feature- will be the scheme of decorations, which will transform the inte'rior of the hall into a suitable setiing for the many beautiful frocks which will be worn. The guests of honour will be Mr. . K. J. Holyoake, deputy leader of the party, and Mrs. Holyoake, and- the membef for O^aki, 'Mr. J. J. Maher, and "Mrs. Maher. At 9.30 p.m. scme twelve debutantes 'will be presented to Mr. and Mrs. Holyoake in the first ceremony of its kind- that Levin has seen for many years.
