Personal Mr. and Mrs. Ross Pedersen, of/ Vogel Street, lef u on a holiday visit to Auckland on Friday evening. The friends of Miss M.. Fuller will be pleased to leam that she is back at work again after her recent illness. Mr.' ahd Mrs. H. T. Redshaw and family, and Mr. L. W. A. Redshaw, of Palmerston No'rth, were the weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. Redshaw, Newtown. ' Mrs. C. Guerin, of Kingston Road, left yesterday afternoon for Wellington, where she will attend the Dominion conference' of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers as the delegate from- the Shannon branch. Successful Shop Day The Church of England Ladies' Guild held a very successful shop day in Mrs. Hyde's Ballance Street shop on Friday. There was a good array of produce, etc., on the stall and it met with a ready demand. The result of the shop day was very encouraging to those responsible. First Twin Lambs Twin lambs, ihe first of the seasoh, were born at a Buckley farm last week. A further indication of the approach of spring is the i familiar sound from the local railway yards, which serves to notify the townsfolk that their country cousins are hard at work again and the cows are coming in. The first collection of bobby calves was made yesterday. At present there will be only one collection per week, each Monday.
