Horn and E. King have inspected the above herd ahd report this one -of the jutstanding offerings of the year, The herd was established in 1918 when two splendid Pencarrow cows were purchased. The first herd sire was Golden Reef, who left seven tested daughters with records up to 715 lb fat. He was a direct son of Soumise Majesty (imp.) and of the beautiful imported cow, Golden Flower. This bull created a marked and lasting influence on the stud. Golden Fox, a son of Majesty's Fox, was next used; his eight tested daughters of all ages averaging 529 lb fat. So impressed were Griffiths Bros. with the great imported sire, Marshal Aldan, fchat they purchased him for the stud at the high figure of 410 gns, Results fully endorse the wisdom of his selection.
