Bos Murphy is training with Ern Clingham and hopes to get away to England for matches with Vince Hawknis, English middleweight champion. Should Murphy be successful in England he intends to go to America for bouts. A wellknown New Zealand radio personality has given Murphy a page of publicity in the American boxing magazme Ring, so he won't be altogether unknown should he land i'n American rings. Marcel Cerdau, the French Moroccan middleweight, who is getting plenty of publicity in the CJ.S.A. and may even get a shot at the middleweight crown held by Tony Zale, defeated Bert Gilroy (Scotland) just prior to his depar.ture for the States. Gilroy was knocked out in four rounds and the French idol looked good in defeating Gilroy.
