VICTIMISATION IN RUMANIA DISTURBS BRITAIN
Received Tuesday, 10.15 a.ni. LONDDN, July 14. The Minister of State, Mr. Hector McNeil, replying to a question in the House of Commons, said he was aware that the Rumanian authorities were recently insisting on the expulsion from their posts and houses, on five days' notice, of employees of the oil companies in Rumania on unsubstantiated charges such as sabotage, negljgence and anti-democ'ratic sentiments. Mr. McNeil added that he had not overlooked the possibility that the Rumanian authorities might fye preparing to attack the oil ' companies on these pretexts. This victimisiation of the Rumanian employees of British companies was disturbing the British Gavernment, whi,ch was cp.nsidering suit- ' able action.
