OPPORTUNITY FOR GREETING HERO OF ALAMEIN

Bunting will be displayed on the Municipal Buildings and at the Levin Post Office, and a request is .made for owners of business premises and private residents to do likewise. The public are requested to gather at the post office in pr,der to greet the distinguished visitor. Returned service personnel, Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, Cubjs and Brownies are also requested tp parade there, and as the rioqr is too late for an organised parade of S.chool children, parents are asked to bring their children so that they p,lso might have the opportunity of seeing Viscount Montgomery. "In view of the fact that a special request has been made for this alteration of Viscount MontgomT ery's itinerary, I hope that a large number of Levin's citizens wiri attend to honour our distinguished guest," said Mr. Burdekin.
