LONDON, July 13. ' The King, Princesses and Lieutenant Mountbatten attended Ascot race meeting at whieh his Majesty 's two runners filled seeond and third plaees in two ■•aees. The Princesses unobtrusively mingled with the crowds in the paddock. The gateman did not reeognise Princess Elizabeth when she went to the entrance of the enclosure and stopped her becguse she was not wearing a badge. She was not aJlowed to pass until a detective stepped forward and idontified her.
