GREEK PEOPLE'S JOY AT ENGAGEMENT

Received Fti'day, 7 p.m. LONDON, July 10. In Athens today the Prime Minister ; (Mr. Maximos) said tbe , betrothal had given "exceptional joy" to the Greek people. The Russialn Press has not mentioned the betrothal. Informed quarters believe that fhe Weddin'g- of Prineess Elizabeth will be in October. It is not likely to b'e in later months, .because bad weather would probably detract from the page antry of the occasion. His Majesty will call a meeting of the Privv Council during the last week in July to approve the betrothal bj Order-in-Couneil. Until then the be trothal has no official status.
