The Levin Mpnicipal Band will be in attendance at ihe Manawata Hunt Club's point-to-point steeplechase meeting at Ihe Levin racecourse tomorrow, meeting on the grounds at 11 a.m. Safety First, Says Pilqt After vainly circling for more than 15 minutes tn heavy fog, a National Airways Uockheed Electra from Wellington was unable to flnd the New Plymouth airfield yesterday afternoon and went on to Auckland, Cloud at the airport was down to 50 feet. The aircraft was guided into the aerodrome by radio beacon bufc the pilot could not Ipcate the field visually without- coming down low and cha'hcing trees. Rockets and flares were sent up from the ground but he was still unable to find the aerodrome and after circling flew on to Auckland. The aircraft carried one passenger for New Plymouth and there. were three intending passengers from New Plymouth to Auckland.
