How the vigilance of 'neighbours prevented a house being robbed, a.nd resulted" in the would-be thief being caught redhanded was described in the Magistrate's Court; at Palmerston North yesterday when Peter Karauria, known as Tihu Huatahi, a Maori labourer, single, aged 39, of Wellington, was charged with breaking into and entering the. dwellinghouse of Horace Stewart on July 6 with intent to eommit a crime. Karauria pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supre'me Court at Wellington for sentence.
