Mrs. P. Temuera, who is still in hospical in Palmerston North is reported to be making steady progress lowards recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Larkin and family, of Woodville, are on holiday in Otaki. Mr. Larkin, who has been in hospital for some . time, has made a good recovery. The Rev. Father Verlingue, of Fiji, is at present on a brief visit to Otaki and district." He expects, however, to return to Fiji as soon as steamer aceommodation is available. Father Verlingue has been delighred with his trip, and will carry away pleasant recollections of his visit. The funeral of the late Mr. Charles Frederick Moore took place yesterday, when there was a representa'.ive > attendance. A service was conducted at the Presbyterian Church by the Rev. A. Ashwi'n, who also conducted an impressive ceremony at the graveside. A number of lovely floral emblems were placed on the .casket, while the relatives of the deceased have been the recipients of many sympathetic messages.
