WELLINGTON, July 9. The New Zealand tennis rankings for 1947-48 have been. made as follows : — Men: R. jS, McKenzie (Hutt Valley), J. E. Roache (Waikato), J, E. RoDsoii (Otago) , J. A. Barry (Auckland) , O. M, Bold (Hutt Valley) , N. V. Edwards (Hutt Valley, ' now Auckland), S. Painter (Wellingcg'a) , R, Pattinspn. (Canterbury) , E. P. B. Lusk (Auckland) and N. F. N, Bedford (Auckland), Women: Miss M. Beverley (Waikato), Miss E. G. Attwood (Auckrand), Mhs. J. Graham (Hutt yaliey) , Mrs. J. Rpbb (Hutt Valley) , MJs. K. Hart (Canterbury) , Miss'M. L. Kerr (Otago), Mrs. J. Vay (WelT lington) , Miss B- Pjcter (Auckland) , Mrs, P. Smith (Auckland) and Mrs. H. Lane (Cahterbury) . The New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association last night approved jjhat McKenzie go to the United giates with W. Sidwell (Australia) go play in the American championships and West Coast tournaments ni August and September. Mackenzie, Robson and Barry will play in ihe Frencli champicnships this month, subject to suitable travel arrangements. Robson and Barry will remain in Britain until Sepiember to play in the open tournaments and also against ihe International Club of Great Britain, at Edinburgh.
