LOG FIRES AND FERNS

Two bright log fires set against a background of native ferns, gaily coloured flowers and streamers made an attractive setting for an enjoy able dance held in the hall of the Levin Farm. Kimberley Road, last night. To the music of a professional orchestra from Palmerston North, dancing was continued to 1 a.m. The function was the second of a series which the' institution is conducting in order to raise funds fo provide better recreational facilities for the patients. A special committee has been set up comprising Misses N. M. Blackburn and K. F. Jinkinson, and Messrs. I. G. Hyland, L. H. Hitching, H. J. Stanley and H. Kilminster, the latter acting as M.C. at last night's function.
