FAREWELL FUNCTIONS
MISS G. FRANCE ENTERTAINEI) - -An informal gathering waa heid at the Horowhenua Power Board's office yesterday to farewell Miss .GFrance, who recently resigned ■from the -staff in view of her forthcoming marriage. Following afternoon tea, Miss France was presented with an electric iron and vase by the managing-secretary, Mr. R. A. Frederikson, who, on behalf of the staff, tendered his congratulations -and good wishes, coupled with regret at losing her services. Representatives Of the various departments also extended good wishes :to Miss France. Last night the lady members of the board's ststff entertained Miss Frahce at a gift evening. The function was attended by her basketball and tra'mping club associates and other frientis. Miss •France received a number df'useful gifts and a ho'st of good wishes. — I
