Received Tuesday, 8.5 p.m. SAN FRANCISCO, June 23. The Chico Reeord today published an interview with Father Bernard Ilubbard, Jesuit priest, geologist and explorer, in which Father Hubbard aaid Russia had an atomic energy plant a year ago but it blew up beeause of Russian laek of knowledge. The explosion killed several scientists and devastated a wid'e area. Father Hubbard, who is head of the geological department at Santa Clara University, said he c oul d not divulge the souree of the information, and added: "But take it from me it is authoritative." He indicated that the plant was about 45 miles from Moscow and said the story could be confirmed if foreign correspondents conld be given freedom to travel in Russia.
