"RED TIDE" KILLS DEEP SEA FISH
NEW YORK, June 24. The reappearance of a "red tide" which experts say is caused by tiny sea organisms known as gynnodinium, has been reported by commercial fishermen in waters off the Gulf Coast, states a message from Fort Myers, Florida. Dead deepsea fish are stated to be strewn along the beaches. One fisherman is reported to have become unconscious by the fumes given oif by the organisms. Bulldozers wrere required to clear the beaches of the dead fish when reddish waters were last reported in January.
