LEVIN NARROWLY BEAT OROUA DOWNS
; The Levin Golf Club played a very enjoyable match with the Oroua Downs Club recently on the Cheslyn Rise links. -The game was closely contested throughout, Levin emerging the victors by one game. Levin won six'of the singles and Oroua Downs five, with one halved, while each club secured three of the foursomes. Individual results were as follows, Levin players being mentio'ned first in each instance: — Singles: J. Sams' lost to A. Nichols, E. Watts beat B. Pederso'n, S. Franklin beat E. Pederson, R. Frederikson lost, to D. P. Todd, J. Todd beat J. Gonnell, C. Wallace beat.H. Ashton, A. T. Nichols lost to D. Williams, J. Fullarton beat E. Gonlan, J. S. Dicki'nson halved with E. Pederson, J. Corry beat R. Aston, J. George lost to B. Mills, A. •Bonner lost to A. Mills. Foursomes: Sams and Watts lost to Nichols and Pederson, Franklin and Frederikson beat Pederson and Todd, Todd and Wallace beat Cc-nnell and Aston, Nichols and Fullarton lost to Williams and Conlan, Dickinson and Corry beat Pederson and Aston, George and Bc'nner lost to B. and A. Mills. "Club Games • A bogey match was won by N. Thornley with a card of three down on 'bogey. Very few cards were handed in and players are reminded that no scores can be recognised unless cards, properly signed and completed, are handed in.
