REPRISAL WAR DENIED

Received Tuesday, 10.45 a.m. JERUSALEM, June 23. "If any army officers were 'wag1'ng a war' in Palestine -we would know about it," said Lieut.-Colonel C. W. Norman, Chief of the General Staff intelligence at British military headquarters. Lieut.-Colonel Norman categorically denied the report that 36 British Army officers were "operating their ow'n war against the terrorists." He refused to comment on the purge reported in the Palestine police force.
