. ' . — — PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN'S UNION MEETS The annual meeting of the St. Andrew's branch of the Presbyterian Women's Missiohary Union was held last week. The guest speaker was Mrs. Rountree, president of the Wellington Presbyterian Association. The secretary, Miss E. Anderson, fead a report of the work during the past year. It revealed sustaihed interest in and increasing support of the foreign, home and Maofi missiohs of the Presbyterian Church. Studies conducted by Mrs. A. Salmond during the year included post-war missionary problems in Northefn India, South Chiha and the New Hebrides. Parcels of medical supplies had been sent to the 'mission in China and the New Hebrides, and acknowledghients were read. Sister Annie, missionef in charge of the Maori Mission at Ruatahuna, Wfote expressing her thanks for a sack of clothing sent forward hy the Levin branch. Offiee-bearers appointed for the coming year were: — President: Mfs. A. . Brash; yice-presidents: Mesdames C. Kerr, E. T. King ahd A. Salmond; secretary: Miss E. , Andefson; treasurer: Mrs. F. FlCtcher; Maori Mission Birthday League secretary: Mrs. W. Davie; Harvest Field and Mission Box. secretary: Mrs. W. iStannard; stamps secretary: Mrs. F. Duncan; Busy Bees secretary: Mrs. Prouse.
