WELLINGTON,- June 20. : Six people were injured when a- small car in which they were tfaveiling north collj.ded with a heavy southbound trnck a mile north of Paekakariki at 6.30 tonight. ' They were three generations of one family, the yOungest bemg a boy aged 18 months. They Were: The grandparents: Mr. Gr. H. Baxter, retired, of 1-84A Derwent Street, Wellington, a fractured 'jaw, coiieussion and shoek; eondition satisfactory. ' Mrs. Baxter, lacerations to the head and face, chest injur^es, consussion and shock; eondition serious.' , The.. parents : Mr. H. S., Baxter, earpenter, of Island Baj?, eoncussion, laeer.ation to the mouth and lips and shoek,who was treated and diseharged. Mrs. H. S. Baxter, lacerated wouuds to the head, eoncussion and shock; eondition serious. The children: Barbara Baxter, li years, a fractured nose and possibly a ' fractured skull, eoncussion and shockj eondition satisfactory. Gprdon Baxter, 18 months, lacerated wound to the head, eoncussion and shock; eondition serious. - The injured were taken to the Paekakariki Hotel where they were cared for until the arrival of two ambulaneea from Wellington. They were then taken to the publie hospital.
