RISING BRITISH EXPORTS AND IMPORTS
Received Saturdav, 12.20 a.m. LONDON, June 20. The British Board of Trade announced that goods worth £39,700,000 were exported in May which is about H.1 ,000,(500 greater than the monthly average for the last^quarter of 1946. Imports have been rising sliarply since Februarv. The vtihie in May, £153,200, 100, was exceeded in April liv £6,100,000 liid was the highest f.or 27 years.
