WELLINGTON, June 18. The "Beats the Band?' art union was drawn at Wellington this morning. Following are the principal prize- winners : — First prize, £2000: 96342, M. Dodson, Rotorua butt. Second prize, £500: 24999, "Happy Birthday," New Plymouth. Third prize, £250: 197171, "Ones and Sevens," Wellington butt. Fourth prize, £150: 23768, "FiftyFifty," Auckland. Fifth prize, £100: 50207, "Hop Me Lueky," Ponsonby.
