LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

Mrs. C. Nichol presided over a good -attendance at the June meeting of the League of Mothers, which was held in the Oddfellows' Hall. Members were reminded that the July meeting would be the leagiie's birthday, and each "member was requested to bring "a friend. ; The speaker for the afternoon was Mr. E. J. Stanley, who gave a most interesting and enlightening talk pn the work being carried out at ihp Levin Boys' Training - Centre. - Mrs. C. Bartholomew gave the thought for the month, which was the King's message. A request was made that members bring pictorial and needlework magazines to the next meeting. These are to be sent to the mental hospital. The singing of the league hynjn and fhe National Anthem brought the meeting to a close.
