L.G.U. MEDAL ROUND
LADIES' GOLF COMPETITIONS The ladies' section of the Levin Golf Club played a'n L.G.U. medal round last week and Mrs. F. Ryder ^returned the best card. This week the first round of two for the special trophy donated by a visitor to the club will be played. It is to be; won outright by the player return'ing the best nett scores in two rounds. The draw will take place at the clubhouse at 1.5 p.m. sharp. The draw for the intermediates at the weekend is as follows: Miss B. Kilsby and Miss Cowan, Miss Colema'n and Miss Phillips, Miss P. Todd and Mrs. O. Brown. C grade: Miss Evison and Miss McMinn, Miss A. Todd a'hd Miss Franklin. The- C grade competition played last week was won by Mrs. Lester, while Miss Lo'ng was second and Mrs. Bonner third. The second round of the Park Rose Bowl competition has been extended for one week. Mrs. F. Ryder and Mrs. Porter succeeded in taking the Hunter Buttons from the holders, Mesdames Richards and Franklin, beating them two up after a hard fought game. All challenges will be welcorned by ' the new holders. Misses Hosie and Phillips will be on tea duty at the weekend.
