CHOFU, June 14. Fire early this morning completeiy destroyed the large 19th New Zealand Army Service Corps supply point building at Chofu. Large quantities of fresh and canned stores held there for the wflole of the New Zealand brigade were burned as well as the supply point main office and "barracks, and . command and recreation rooms for supply personnel. The personal loss was heavy. When the .alarm was .given abopt -6 a.m., the 32 men sleeping in the building were hurr.iedly aroused anfl .plmost -no army equip.ment or individua) belongings -were saved. An almost incredible save was made of tlie main stores whieh stands .direetly alongside the • supply ppint building.
