Lovely. dark-haired Lina Romay is the daughter of the Mexican consul in New York, where she was born and educated. Singing at a family party in Detroit, Lina was persuaded to make a radio audition.- This proved a great success, led to a radio show and later to band contracts. While a 5 singer with Xavier Cugat's band. Lino made her screen debut in 1943. She left the orchestra when M-G-M offered her an acting contract and will next be seen in "Love Laughs at Andy Hardy."
