SIKHS OPPOSE PARTITION
Representative of Sikh organisations, a meeting in Lahore c'arried a resolution disapproving of the British plan for a division of India ■ into two states, saying ' that the plan's only redeeming' feature was the par'tition of Punjab. The basis of the division df Punjab, however was unjust and inequitable to the Sik'hs, giving them. no position of power or of status, or any means of prbtecting "their interests in the constitution making machinery.
