TRAGIC DEATH OF HUSBAND AND WIFE
AUCKLAND, June 11. A heavy axe and a nine foot length of rope were produced. by. the police . vvhen incj[uests into ' the death of Mrs. . Rosalie Ida Hajl, aged 51, and. Edward Ha|l, retiyed fa.rmer, aged 67, were coneluded before the Coroner, Mr, A. Addison. Mrs. Hall was dicovered ; dead in a bedroom and her husb.and was found hangi ng by his neck in the washhouse wlien a party broke into the house at Epspm Avenue on May 8. "I am quite satisfied the proper reeonstr.uc.tion oi tfie trngfidy is that de- ^ tailed by the police,'-' said -the Coroner-. : tn aceordance with the medical ,evi-; denee he returned a finding that Mrs, ' •Hall died on or about May 6 and that'' the cause of her death was a fracture of the skull And lacerations of the brain and hemorrhage resulting from a blow with an axe inflieted by her husband. A verdict of suieide by hanging on or ' about May 6 was given on the death of Mr. Hall.
