The usual monthly meeting of the Levin Women's Institute yras held recently, Mrs. Kellaway presiding. Tbe meeting opened wlfh the institute song followed by Jhe aspirations Arrangements. were finalised for the-visit to the New ZJealand Woolpack* and Textile factpry at Foxton qn June 26. . *The buses ^ifi leavd Ba'th Streetpit 9.30 a.m. MrsDeeurs, from headquarters y?ill adaress the Horowhenua group on June 5 at 2 p.m. in the .O.ddfcUpws' Hall, and as many members as pqssible are aske.d to attend. The speaker for the afternqon was Mrs. McDonald, of the Economic Information Service, and she spoke on women as consumers. Her taik was interesting and instructive, and members took the opportunity to ask questions. Mrs. Kellaway • thanked Mrs. McDonald and presented her with a posy of flowcrs.
