LEVIN GOLF CLUB

CHANGES IN ROTATION OF HOLES - Members of the Levin Golf Club are advised that the first roundof the D-C.L, and Karakamep, Cups has been postponed till June 21, and next Saturday a normal medal round will be played. The committee 'has decided tp try an alternative rotation of play ori Saturday as f ollows The first -six holes as previously played, Nq. 7 to the left green (previously Nq. 9), Nos. 8, .10 and 11 in place of Nos. 10, 11, 12 and 13 respectively; . Np. 12. in place Qf . No. 9 only to the oid No. 7 /green and No. 13 will take the place of No. 8. Nq. 14 is the same as before. ThiS' piay sqund very cornplicated, but if members would examine the plan in the clubhouse before they start there should be no misunderstanding. The purpose pf the alteration is to give five holes clearance for those starting at Nq. 10, and to split up the three short holes behind the homestead. It will mean a walk through the eoyr paddock behind Nq, H green and another walk back after playing only two holes, but it is hoped that members will co-operate and at least give ther;scheme a good trial on Saturday. Regarding the present system of drawing, there is no dofibt that fhe progressive draw is very satisfaetory, but members are asked to arrive earlier so that the first four may be away by 12.45 at the latest. In future the draw will close at 1.15 p.m. and any player nof in the draw by that time will be out of the competition. Ail players are asked to" fill in their eards Gorrectly, sign them and place them in the box providedNo card will be recognised unless it has been signed. The following additions to local rulss have been made: All creeks, drains ,.and marshy ground are declared water hazards, and .as spch are STibject to a penalty qf qne stroke. (Rule No. 27, 1). Green Fences: A ball played froni within 20 yards of a green fenee and striking that fence between the player and the pin must be replayed. If the player is more than 20 yards from the fence the ball may be replayed at his or her option. A ball striking the fenge on the far side of the pin cannot be replayed.
