» ■. ■ ■ . & — : ; i ' Hounds " "threw ' off" from Mr. Colin Holmes' homestead paddocks about 12.30 p.Tn. on .Saturday, and treated followers to- the best run of the season. A hare was put up early. She was full of running and made for" the hills, then circled to the river fiat. She completed another circle, ' almost on the same track, and was well on the way around a third time when she turned back for the rush flat and was killed. The hounds were never off the scen't aijd thoroughly earned the kill — the first for the season in the southern end. In spite of the wet weather a large field had turned out. The riders made a dash for shelter a little" earlier than usual, and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea which Mrs. Holmes had prepared for them. The followers were: , Deputy Masters, Messrs G- H.
