LOXDON, June 0. When Princess Elizabeth takes part In the ceremony of trooping the colours oil June .12 she vvill ritle side-saddle. The Princess, who nonually rides aatride, has been praetising riding sidesaddle at Windsor sinee her return from Houth At'rica and it is sialeil that the Eoval family has l>een eonsidering th problem of a proper uniform for when she appears on liorseback on ceremonial occasions. It is believed that
her tailors have designed a uniform consisting of a eoat eut in longer Roya! Artillerv stvle and. ankle-length skirt. While the Princess was with the King and Queen at Epsom watching the Qaks being run, there was a rehearsal in London for next Thursday's ceremony The ' ' stand-in ' ' for the Princess was Mrs. Doreen Archer-Houblon, daughter of Lady lvathleen Lindsay, who is considered to be oue of Britain's leading exponents on riding sidesaddle She has written a nuniber of books on the subject and is a kecn rider to the hounds. She is lo, trini, attractive and energetic and during the rehearsal wore a white armband lettered "H.R.H. Princess Elizabeth".
