MASON AND FRAZER SUFFER INJURIES
SYDNEY, June 8.
The All Black, Mason, who brought down the New South- Wales forward, inches from the line as the final bell went in yesterday 's match, was supported by other players as the band played t'fie National Anthem. At the same time the New Zealand forward Frazer feil to the turf. Mason later collapsed in the dressing room. They were attended by the New South Wales selector, Dr. Mackey, who diagnosed Frazer 's injury as slight con-( cussion and Mason 's as severe concussion necessitating a trip to hospital for observation. After a 15 minutes' wait for the ambulance which was not on ; the ground, Mason managed to persuade" the doctor aud the All Black managers that it would be better for him to go to the Coogee Hotel where the team is staying. He" and Frazer were taken there by car. The last thing Mason remembers ot the game is being tackled heavily by the New South Wales full-back Piper. soine minutes before he himself grassed Windon.
