The Shires Association of New South Wales will seek the co-operation of all Australian local government bodies \vith the view of testing the validity of the Comm.qn Wealth Banking Act. This follows advice from the Government to a nuniber of local gov-, ernment bodies thai from August 1 under tlie Banking Act they would not be entitled to have their business dono by a tradiag baak.
