ROOFING TILES TO BE MADE AT PLIMMERTON

WELLINGTON, June (5. _ The large scale production of roofing tiles will commence shortly at a new factory built at Plimmerton, from which the estimated ontp'ut is 2,000,000 tiles a year. With this aclded to the existing output of tiles, it is expected the demand for liousing purposes in the North Island at least will be met. This is one of two encofiraging features in regard to the buildin'g industry. It is expected that, due to the expansion undertaken with considerable difficulties by local firms, the production of wallboard will be doubled by this time next yeai.
