SUIT MATERIAL IS PILLAGED FROM SHIP

AUCKLAND, June 4. About £1100 worth of men's suit material has vanished from one of the holds of the British steamer Fort Coulonge whieh is discharging a mixed cargo from Australia. The material was sutficient for 'the manufacture of at least 350 suits and is the property of the Cambridge Clothing Factory Ltd. The evidence goes to show that the pillaging, which is the worst ease of its kind to come under the notiee of the police for some time, was done af Auckland. The stolen cloth, which was of Australian origin, was mostly striped navy and black although there was some light grey worsted to be used for the making of sports trousers.
