RED CROSS CLOTHES APPEAL
^ — , A splendid response to the appeal by the Levin Red Cross Society for clothing for the underclad children of Europe took place last Friday. The quality . and quahtity greatly exceeded expeetations, as the appeal came so soon after other demanda on the resiAents of the. district. ; The committee extends its grateful thanks to all who contributed. Several monetary gifts wefe made and these will be used to purchase material to be made into garments by e the sewing circle, . which meets- every Thursday in the Red ' Cross rooms, Parcels may still be sent in if desired.
