SHANNON BOROUGH COUNCIL LEVYING RATES FOR YEAR 1947-1948 J\[OTICE is hereby given that the Shannon Borough Council will at a meeting of the Council to be held on Tuesday, the 24th day of June, 1947, make and levy the following rates for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1947, and gnding on the 31st day of March, 1948. A general rate under section 77 of the Municipal Corporations' Act, 1933, of lfd. in the pound sterling, a Hospital and Charitable Aid_.rate under the provisions of the Hospital and Charitiable Aid Institutions' Act, 1926, of id. in the pound sterling, a Special rate of one and f of a penny in the pound sterling on all rateable property within the Borough of Shannon, to provide for the payment of interest-, principal and sinking funds on loans and that the special rate be apportioned as foliows: — Conversion Loan No. 1. £575, Conversion" LoanUSFo. 2 £76/19/4, Redemption Loan £112. A water supply maintenance rate of k of a' penny in the pound sterling, a Waterworks Loan, 1946, rate of i of a penny in the pound sterling, a Manawatu Catchment Board rate of l/14th of a penny in the pound sterling, a Separate rate of' id. in the pound sterling on all rateable property included in special rating area loans Nos. 67 and 76, a annual sanitation fee under section 90 of the Municipal Corporations' Act, 1933, of £2/10/- per year for each convenience* in the Borough of Shannon from which the Council is prepared to remove nightsoif. All the above rates are levied on the capital value and payable in one instalment on the 9th day of July, 1947.
