OBITUARY

MR. BRUCE FERGUSON News has been received in Otaki that Mr. Bruce Ferguson, for many years a resident of Otaki, passed away at his residence in Auckland on Sunday morning. The deceased, who was 56 years of age, was the elder son. of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Ferguson, and attended school here. He was also a wellknown sport, having played both football anc^ hockey with marked success, and took an active interest in other branches of sport. Some years ago he left to take up residence in Auckland where h.e made many friends. The deceased leaves a widow (nee Miss Jessie Bell) one daughter, Enid, now resident of Newcastle, a brother, Mr. "Pat" Ferguson, of Te Horo, and a sister, Mrs. Victor Noble, of Otaki. At the time of Mr. Ferguson's death Mr. and Mrs. Pat Ferguson were in Auckland. The bereaved relaatives will have the sympathy of many friends, both in this district and Auckland.
