Personal Mr. E. Chester, Junr. of Stout Street, has returned home after spending a holiday with his sister and brother-in-law at Mananui, Dancing Again Popular With the arrival of colder evenings, dancing is once again in the fore as a popular pastime. The Shannon Football Club held a very suceessful dance in the Druids' Hall last Thursday evening whefi Tommy Hartley's orchestra made their debut to this town. Their playing was enjoyed by the large gathering of dancers present. The Moutoa Young Farmers' Club have arrangements well in hand for their function on Thursday evening in the Moutoa Hall. Billy Larkin will provide the music. At a meeting of the Mangaore Golf Club held recently it was decided to* hold the dance which they postponed last Thursday, during the third week in June. The Mangaore dances arealways a popular attraction with the dancing public of'this district.
