MEETING OF CENTRE
Among delegates ' present" at" the last meeting of the Wellington Bowling Centre were Messrs. W. Gilbert (Paekakariki), B. A. Guise (Otaki), G. E. Cox (Raumati), J.. R. Williams (Waikanae Beach), E. Thorne (Paraparaumu Beach) and J. Chegwiddon, acting for Mr. Moffitt (Otaki Railway). Messrs. Hadwin and . Hazlewood were appointed Dominion councillors to the N.Z.B.A. The treasurer's statement showed a credit of £272 ' 7s 8d. Mr. Horton advised that it was pr'oposed to hold a greenkeepers' conference at Palmerston North on June 26 and 27. It was decided to make a grant of £5 5s to the Umpires' Associatiori. Mr. Thorne advised that , the Paraparaumu Club was proceeding with the erection of a pavilion. The Manawatu Centre has applied to the N.Z.B.A. to hold a tournament during the next bowling season. — To have consideration. The Police Department reported that the bowls lost during the recent tournament at Wellington had been recovered and returned to the owner. .
