Received Sunday, 8.30 p.iu. SYDNEY, Jtfay 25. Three fine trie3 which gave New South Wales a long lead over Queensiand in the first 'half of the Rugby Union mateh at the Sydney Showground, enabJed the home side to win eomfortably by itlTpoints to 11. Ifi all New South Wales seored seven tries including three by the brilliant wingcr, Eastes, to Quecnsland's two. . The mateh was a triumph for the selectors and coaches, Messrs A. C. Wallace and S. J. Malcolm, both men»bers of the famous Waratah side. Most of the tries were the result- of co-ordinated and well-timed movements rather tlian speculation. . Cremin, Walker, Tonlcin and Piper showed to advantage, but late in the game Ttmkin sustained a severoly injured jaw. Among the forwards Cornforth (New South Wales) and W. McLean (Qucens Jand) were dutstanding. The New South Wales forwards went particularly well in the loose but will need to t.ighten up considerably to hold the All Blaek vanguard.
