One so-ldier was killed ohtriglit and the other badly wounded. "Four civilians whom the guerrillas captured a fdw minutes earlier said the guerrillas killed the lorry driver with the "first fusillade, surrounded the -lorries. ordered the soidiers out and set fire to the lorries. It was apparent that the wounded soldier would be unable to ac.conipany the guerrillas so the leadei killed him and took the British captaiu and two other ranks in the direction of Ivomotene. The dead soidiers rvere buried in the First World War British ceinetery at Komotehe.
