Detective-Sergeant Campin stated tha't, while he had no objection to a remand or bail being renewcd, he asked that the remand should be for a period of eight days and that bail be renewed only on condition that Midwood did not attempt either to get in toueh with or influence in any way Miss Anderson, a witness. Midwood agreed to tliese terms and Was remanded for eight days on bail.
