JOCKEY CHARGED WANTS KING'S COUNSEL

"Sin.ce I am not satisfied with the advice given me by my present counsel I wish to apply for an adjournment for seven days to enable me to obtain "the serviees of a King 's Counsel from Wellington," stated Aubrey Midwood. 25, jockey, when he appeared on remand . in the -• Magistrate's Court, Hastings, on a charge of f ailing to stop after an accident. Detective-Sergeant Campin stated tha't, while he had no objection to a remand or bail being renewcd, he asked that the remand should be for a period of eight days and that bail be renewed only on condition that Midwood did not attempt either to get in toueh with or influence in any way Miss Anderson, a witness. Midwood agreed to tliese terms and Was remanded for eight days on bail.
