SIGN LANGUAGE USED IN COURT TRIAL
VIENNA, May 21. When a deaf and dumb man and another stone deaf man were sentenecd to death by hanging for the murder oi two other deaf mutes, an interpreter told thern the verdict in the sign language. He drew his second finger across his throat and with the other liand made a motion of the gallows. Tlie court proeeedings were carried out in sign language through an interpreter. A small group of deaf mutes sat in the court talking in sign language. The two accused and tlie victims all lived in thg'sanie house and the murder motives were stated to be revenge and robbery.
