The following remits were eonsidered at.the aunuaJ meeting of tlie JManawatu Provincial branch of Federated Ifarin t;rs in Palmerston North on Wednesday. and are to be forwarded to the interprovincial confcrence at Feilding- next vVednesday: — Pohangina Branch: 'That attention be drawn to the green state of fertiliser being drawn from the works at the present time, also laclt of information as to when it will be delivered, and urges that an inquiry be ini -.igated. " Bhannon branch: ' ' T.h V, the attention of local bodieg be drawn to the t'act pf the sunis of money being do nated by them to various purposes outside the scope for which they are col lected. ' ' Foxton branch: "That the Dominion executive be asked to prepare an in surance policv covering all farmers and employees against accident claims caused by niilk stands, letter boxes and calf pens. ' ' "That the Government be urged to make snpplies of saitable trucks available to farmers as a first priority. " N.B.: F^armers on fixed priees cannot buy on the black market. "That executive be asked to'give more space in Straight Furrow to matters ot interest in general farming, corresponilence, deputations etc., affocting farmers during each month."
