CONFIDENCE IN MR. McLAGAN.
CHEISTCHUECH, May 20. "Such resolutions, based on prejudieed partisan statements, carry no weight with anyone, cei'tainly not with the Government," deelared the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) today, commenting on the newspaper report of the re solution of no-confidence in the Minister of Labour (Mr. McLagan) passed at, a. -nreeting - of the Auckland brapch of the Waterside Workers' Union. The Government and Parliamentary Labour Party, as evidenced at the recent caueus meeting had complete c'qnfidence . in Mr. McLagan, and he carried their full support, Mr-i Fraser added.
